And Another One Exits, Stage Left…

Michael Jackson…dead?

It’s almost too difficult to believe.  I mean, not being a fan, and not privy to the inner sanctum of the Jackson cult, I find it strangely odd to think that the man whose videos I grew up watching on MTV has come down with a slight case of death.  It just seems a bit…surreal.

And to think, we’ve had a rash of celebrity deaths recently; David Carradine, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett.  Who’s willing to take bets that Patrick Swayze will be the next to go?

It’s inevitable that the celebrities you grew up watching will one day die.  It’s the passing of an age and the march of time happening right before our eyes.

And so, I say a sad “so long” to our moonwalking, studded glove wearing, flaming haired, zippered jacket icon of yesteryear.  I almost feel guilty for mocking him in a recent post.  I guess I’ll pick up my statue from the Bad Timing Awards on my way out the door…

When Ryan Seacrest confirms

When Ryan Seacrest confirms your death...brother, you're dead.

There have been a lot of celebrities leaving us in the past few days. I just think it’s hilarious that all of the mainstream news organizations were quoting TMZ about Jackson’s death. This is what the media has come to.

I still cannot believe he’s dead. I hope he’ll be remember for his music and not for his weird personal life.

It was such a shock for me too when last night I saw the various articles online regarding MJ’s dead. He was still so young, and it’s such a waist that his talent is gone… And agree with Michelle Amour that he should be remembered for his music and not with and for the various scandals in his life… RIP Micheal…

And how about Farrah Fawcett? I mean MJ is stealing all the headlines. She is not getting her due right from the media on her death! So sad.

But seriously, when people die that I grew up with admiring it always makes me feel old.

The juice man will never die, for he is made of juice. Long live Jack!
