Mt. Woodson…Updated!
Even though I had to work on Saturday, I still managed to squeeze in a quick 7 mile run on the Mt. Woodson loop. It was 85° at 2pm when I began the trek up, and by the time I got back to my car my Camelbak was drained. Let me tell ya, that was a hot run…
I’ve updated my Mt. Woodson trail loop entry with some new pics, so if you’re interested in following me up someday, take a look at it to get an idea for what you’ll be in for.
My assault on Mt. Whitney is still set for the beginning of September. In preparation my long, grueling mountain trail runs have been increased. I can usually be found on Iron Mountain, Elle Lane, or Mt. Woodson three times a week now. I plan on hitting Mt. Baldy / San Antonio this weekend to get a bit of elevation training in. Can’t wait!

I’ll leave the hiking to you. 82 degrees ( I don’t know how to make the symbol) and hiking will make for a heated combination. It’s good exercise and a nice way to pass the time and relieve stress but I’m more of a walker, lol. I’d rather look at these lovely photos than participate in the actual “hiking” part. Hiking may still be fun for me to do on a nicer (code word for “breezy at 70 degrees”) day!
Hey if you have a few extra dollars pick up this data logger.

It is great for tracking your runs or in my case bike rides. It is cheap, accurate, and easy to use. Just turn it on and then off when you are done. I would love to see some of your routs.
I can give you all the details to convert and post your runs to the web one you pick it up. Very easy to do.
Oh, loved the photos of the trail by the way.
Love the trail photos. I so miss the runs in CA even though I don’t miss living there. Keep posting them for those of us who live elsewhere.

Heh…yeah, I’m a glutton for punishment. The wife gets concerned at times, but I can’t deny the running gene I’ve been cursed with
@The House of Husar I’ve been looking at the GPS wrist units. Buddy at work showed me the model he uses and how easy it is to download all data to the computer for analysis. I now have serious gadget envy…
@Jen Heh…will do, Jen!
