Well, you got me on this one because I have no idea what the point is for those sleeves. A few of my DVDs have sleeves and usually it seemed like a nice addition to the packaging design but then that wore off, as it became annoying to have to remove the sleeve each time I wanted to just open the case, take the DVD out and then watch the movie. The price difference is something to consider for blue-ray so it's great that you pointed that out. What’s the point you ask?
