I Played The Lotto And Guess What?
Yeah, that’s right…I lost.
The Mega Millions lottery was up to $333 million dollars, which means that, by law, I had to play.
Okay, not really, but that number was large enough to entice me to get a pool together at work and purchase a few tickets.
The odds of winning was 1 in 175 million, but that didn’t dissuade me from plunking down $5 for the chance of winning (after splitting the win and before taxes) $60+ million.
If I ever do win the lottery, I’d like to purchase:
1: The fastest Corvette in existence
2: A trebuchet to hurl pianos and large kitchen appliances at my annoying neighbors
3: My own downtown art house movie theater
*Sigh* I guess I can still dream, can’t I?
Oddly enough, a few week ago my folks won several thousand dollars in the local lottery, so winning is theoretically possible, just not very probable.

On my list WHEN I win…
1. House in the Rock Mountain
2. Buy a 64′ Impalla ‘straight out of Compton’
3. Open an Irish Pub
Kind of a crazy mix don’t you think?
And here would be my wife’s to do list…
1. Give money to blah, blah, blah friend
2. Give monty to family
3. Give money to anyone that asked for it.
Let’s just say that would be splitting the money down the middle.
Heh…yeah, I think I’d give the parents a cut, but that would be about it. Oh, and when you’re rich you’re no longer crazy, but rather “eccentric”
yup, hasppens to me monthly, or shall I say weekly – as I keep playing while Knowing that I’ll win… and until than – yes – keep dreaming
It all depends on sheer luck in my opinion. I know a few people who win lotteries often and win on those scratch off games more often. I, on the other hand would be very, very surprised if I won even ten cents in any lottery. I have played a few times and did not win anything. Some people have that lotto winning ability more than others.
Better luck next time! At least you had a chance to win which is more than others can say if they did not play the lottery and buy a ticket for that jackpot. You gave it a shot and it was definitely worth a try, so that is very good.
Your future lottery winning purchase #2 concerns me. Why do you want to hurl appliances at your neighbors? I like #1 and would support #3 because art house theaters are closing more as each day passes and we need them to be open so they can play obscure films and those Top 10 Guilty Pleasure movies as well!
