Growth Spurt
Lord help me, but I just could not turn away from this video. As I watched my mind raced in horror, unsure what was about to unfold before me. ”Is this something that’s going to keep me up at night?” I wondered.
But then again, I tend to blow things out of proportion. Go on, ignore my dire warnings and watch what some would call a “miracle of nature”.
I just call it creepy…
I’m just glad we humans aren’t forced to shed our exoskeletons each time we outgrow them. But if we did, would we have to call in to work and burn up a sick day as our jelly-like skin hardened up enough to maintain shape? Would there be exoskeleton-porn sites online? Would doctors use crab crackers to open us up during surgery? Would hockey players have to wear pads? Would hot tubs and saunas exist?
So many questions, so few good ones…

It looks like these creatures, just like the tarantula spiders that are changing their skins – do not feel pain. If it were us humans – you’re right, it would be a very different story
