Stone Pattern
This past weekend I did something I’ve never done before; I ran my Mt. Woodson route backwards. No, I didn’t physically run backwards on it, but rather I started from the end and worked my way to the beginning.
Anyway, because I was attacking Woodson from the Lake Poway direction I noticed this interesting rock on the downhill side as I descended Woodson:
I found the pattern of deconstruction interesting. While not quite a geometric pattern, it made me think of the Giant’s Causeway and Skaftafell National Park. I guess this goes to prove that nature loves a straight line (and ninety degree angles as well).

What a cool photo! I love anything in nature that looks architectural.
And I really admire that you’re a runner. I’ve never been able to do that, but I have a medical excuse. (Okay, the truth is I have a note from my doctor confirming that I’m a big wuss.)
That is pretty cool. Made me think of Transformers for some reason.
Oh yeah. “All Spark” for the win!
WOW! Coooooooooool-looking photo!!
For some reason, it immediately reminded me of the rock formations in Machu Picchcu, Peru.
Ahh, yes. Machu Picchcu. I should have made that connection as well. *thumbs up!*
Why is my icon for my comments your icon. And Ron’s icon. What us?
Sorry, Ed. I’ve been doing some work on the site, updating the version, pimping out with new/updated widgets/plug-ins, and screwing up my avatars along the way. I think I have things sorted out now, but I do want to get rid of the “mystery man” icon someday…
