I am always interested in people's life story. Not the boring kind but this guy doesn't seem like the boring type. If it was me I think I would have tried to sparked up a conversation for sure. I think you missed a big opportunity. Don't know what it is but I would be looking out for that guy again. Next time you buy him a six pack!

Yeah, I'm hoping that my mind didn't hype up the experience too much as I tried to recall it before typing up this post. I've been thinking he's either a body guard, a roadie, or involved in the music or tattoo business.

First, I want to say I really love the way you wrote this discription....

"Short-cropped gray hair and facial stubble framed a face with deep-set wrinkles betraying years of both heavy laughter and much furrowing."

Wonderful visual!

Second, I have this "thing" about being touched by people I don't know, so I would have been very taken back if this guy had laid a hand on me (even if it was gentle). But like you, I would have not gotten into it with this guy. He sounded strange. Perhaps he was am ex-body guard to some celebrity; trying to impress.

Isn't it funny how we'll sometimes have these strange encounters with people?

Made for a GREAT blog post!
