The Second Coming
Whelp, it looks like the Twinkie has been saved.
An amalgamation of private industry firms has scraped together $410 million to purchase the Hostess brand, thus saving the Twinkie, Wonder Bread, and (my personal favorite) the Sno Ball from certain annihilation.
And to think, just a few months ago people were selling Twinkies on eBay for up to $200,000. But now that they’ve been saved from extinction, I’m sure that the people who shelled out big money for a box of these golden treats are now kicking themselves.
Geez….you know how many blu-rays I could buy for this amount of cash?
