This is the end result of a day at the zoo to see the yearly butterfly exhibit (you owe it to yourself to go see this)…one sleepy kid who passed out on top of mom on the couch as we were taking off his shoes. Karin didn’t have the heart to wake him, so they both enjoyed a nice nap.
This is your fault. You let this happen.
You could have very easily put a stop to it, but you didn’t lift a finger to help. Did you even care what was happening to me? Did you even consider how I felt about it? How much I had to put up with? How difficult it was to hold back and not lash out?
You know, I could have very easily cut him. With one swipe I could have sliced open his cheek and had him running away in pain and fear. But I didn’t. I was the bigger man. I let him have his fun.
But look at my eyes as I stare at you. That’s the look of dismay and distrust.
