Terrible Analogies

It’s Friday, and that means Terrible Analogies can slack off a bit, crack open a beer, and troll the ‘Net for a few hours and avoid any real responsibilities for a while…

The weekend is just a day away, but did you know that I have to work this Saturday, giving me just one day off this week?  No lie there.  Did you also know that I have a wicked looking third degree burn that covers my biceps on my left arm?  Strange but true.  The more you know…

But I guess I really can’t complain.  I’m gainfully employed, happily married, and live a (relatively) healthy lifestyle.  As an added bonus, we have a cat that loves sleeping with us at night, curling up next to me as I drift off to sleep.  I think she thinks she’s some sort of house mom, even going so far as to come downstairs and noisily round us up when it gets late, marching us up to bed when she knows it’s past our bedtime.  Crazy cat…

Ah, well.  It’s the end of the week and I’m spent, so I’ll leave you with the glorious visual of a chimpanzee riding on a Segway.  See y’all on Monday when normal posting will resume…

I think I’ve found the next sport I’ll specialize in. It seems easy enough to learn, and incorporates teamwork and a healthy spirit of competition.  In short, good, clean fun

But I’m sure my dreams of cheap glory will be squashed once Karin sees what I’m up to. I’d be more than happy to get back to more cerebral endeavors, but ya see, I have an unhealthy fear of my printer.  It’s been…acting up lately.

And as inanimate objects become smarter, it seems as if our household pets are getting dumber.  Take, for example, Maru, who has what can only be described as a strange fetish for boxes.  Watch this through to the end to see what I mean:

Ah well, I guess I’ll log into my ignored Facebook account and super poke some people.  That always makes me feel better.
